In Fectar Studio, integrating an AI-powered avatar into your VR scene adds a dynamic and interactive element that can significantly enhance user engagement. These AI avatars are animated 3D humans specifically designed to work seamlessly with Fectar Studio, complete with advanced lip-sync capabilities for realistic speech interactions.

First you select an AI Avatar and then you configure the AI Avatar in two steps: first the setup and the interactions.

1. Selecting and adding an AI Avatar to your Space

To get started, you'll need to choose an AI avatar from the Fectar Studio file manager. Here’s how:

  1. Access the File Manager: Open the file manager in Fectar Studio.
  2. Navigate to Free Content: Click on the "Free Content" section.
  3. Find the Avatar Folder: Scroll down to the folder named "Avatar." This folder contains a variety of avatars prepared for use with Fectar and Fectar Studio.
  4. Select Your Avatar: Choose the avatar that best suits your needs. These avatars are pre-configured for animations and come equipped with special lip-sync features to synchronize with the AI's speech.

2. Configure the Virtual Assistant to Your Needs

Once you’ve selected your AI avatar, you can add it as a virtual assistant to your VR space in two steps:

  1. Access the Snippets Folder: Go back to the file manager, and in the "Free Content" section, locate the "Snippets" folder.

Step 2: Configuring Interaction

  • AI Explain Spot on Start: The avatar explains a specific spot in your scene when the space starts.
  • AI Spot Speak and Explain on Start: The avatar speaks a first part and then explains a spot as soon as the scene begins.
  • AI Spot Speak and Explain on Tap: The avatar The avatar speaks a first part and then explains a spot when the user taps on it.
  • AI Speak on Start: The avatar speaks a predefined message when the space starts.
  • AI Speak on Tap: The avatar speaks when the user taps on it.
  • Ask AI Spot a Question: Users can ask the avatar questions verbally, and it will respond verbally based on the configured background information.
  • Enable an AI Avatar to Explain on Tap: The avatar provides explanations about different elements in the scene when tapped.
