Adding voiceovers to your VR and AR experiences can significantly enhance user engagement, making your content more immersive and accessible. Follow these simple steps to add an AI-generated voiceover to your space.
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Access the 'Add Content' Menu
- In your Fectar Studio, navigate to your VR or AR project.
- Locate the 'Add Content' button in the interface. Next to this button, you'll see a white triangle that serves as a dropdown for additional options.
- Click the white triangle to open the dropdown menu.
- From the list, select 'Speech'. This option allows you to add a voiceover generated by AI, tailored to match your content’s style, tone, and pacing.
Step 2: Rename Your Speech Spot for Easy Organization
- To keep your project organized, give your new speech spot a descriptive name. This helps you quickly identify and manage your voiceover content within complex projects.
- Example: If your VR space showcases a historical monument, consider naming the speech spot 'Monument Overview - Voiceover'.
Step 3: Customize the Voiceover Settings
- Write your desired voice over text in the text field with a maximum of 500 characters. Here are tips about how to write a voiceover text.
- You can now customize the AI-generated voiceover by selecting the desired voice, stability, similary, exaggeration, and boost.
- Voice: with more than 50 voices that support more than 20 languages. The voice will speak the text in the text field in the language of the text. If you select a Dutch voice for an English text, the result will be an English speaking voice with a Dutch accent.
- Stability: A lower value makes a more monotone voice
- Similary: A higher value gives a more clearer voice, but can introduce artifacts
- Exaggeration: Higher values result in a more exaggerated / enthousiastic voice but can introduce artifacts
- Boost: Gives a clearer voice but takes longer
- Preview the generated speech to ensure it aligns with your content goals.
Step 4: Fine-Tune the Placement
- Position the speech spot within your VR or AR scene. This defines where the voiceover will be played, such as a specific area or interacting with a virtual object.
- Test the placement to verify it delivers the intended impact.
Step 5: Save and Publish
- Once satisfied with your AI-generated voiceover, save the changes and preview the entire scene.
- When ready, publish your project so users can experience the immersive audio elements you’ve added.
