With the Button interaction, you can make spots visible and invisible or start and stop audio. The Button action can reveal extra information about a 3D object. Or you click on a 3D Object, an image becomes visible, and a voice-over starts reading the text. Now you click another button to hide the information and stop the voice-over.
Autostart visibility of a spot.
When you add a spot, the spot is always visible at the startup of a space. You can change this, so some spots will not be visible when your Space starts. This also works with Audio and Video.
With the Button action, you can reveal the spot and start your Audio and Videos.
Click on the Eye Icon to change the Autostart settings of the spot.
Step 1: Adding a Button Spot
There are two ways to add button spots to your space.
Option 1
Select the spot that you want to make interact with a button action. In this example, the Spot is Called Start. To add a button action, you have to change the type of the spot (for images only). Click on the white dropdown menu.
Changing the type is only necessary for images. 3D models will already have the button action assigned by default.
A dropdown menu opens. Here are multiple options that change the content type. Click on the Button to add the action.
Option 2
Click on the arrow next to the Add Content button.
A drop down menu will show up. Click on Other...
A pop-up menu will show up. Click on Interaction and select Button.
The button properties will now be visible on the right side. Click on Select Image and choose an image for your button spot.
Step 2: Showing and Hiding spots with button
Once you've added your button spot, you can change the button interactions. At the bottom of the Spot Properties tab, you will find the show and hide spots on tab action.
When you click on the dropdown menu, a list of all the spots in your Space becomes visible. Here you can select the spots you want to show and which ones to hide when your user clicks on the images or 3D model. You can also search through your spots by typing the name.
When you have selected the spots in the show and hide spots on the tab dropdown menu, it will look like the image below, but with your spot names. Click on the orange save Button at the top left corner of your screen to save your changes.
You have now added a button action to your spot!
